Gandhi Jayanti is an event celebrated in India to mark the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. It is celebrated annually on 2 October, and it is one of the three national holidays of India. The UN General Assembly announced on 15 June 2007 that it adopted a resolution which declared that 2 October will be celebrated as the International Day of Non-Violence. SVMCTE, Vendar conducted a celebration on Gandi Jayanti at 3 P. M. through google meet. Programme was started with a prayer, followed by welcome speech. Presidential address was given by our principal Dr. Lamamani miss. Key note adress and Gandi Jayanti message was given by our chief guest Sri. Pradeep B. (HST, Social Science, Govt. H. S. S. Puthoor). Then there are several programmes like poster presentation, video presentation, online quiz etc. Online elocution result was announced by Athira miss and the programme was ended with National Anthem.
